This policy explains what the BOPF app collects, why, and the choices you have. BOPF ("we", "us") is the curated preloved-fashion boutique operated by Business of Preloved Fashion LLC, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The app is a companion to our store at thebopf.com. Payments are never taken in the app — checkout is handed to Shopify's secure web checkout.

Information we collect

  • Email address — only if you choose to add one, so we can bring over the pieces you saved on our website and keep your wishlist in sync across app and web.
  • Notification token & device identifier — a push token (via OneSignal) and an app-generated device ID, so we can send the alerts you opt into and avoid duplicates.
  • Your preferences — the houses you follow, your sizes, pieces you are watching, and items added to your bag, to power your alerts and your saved list.
  • Approximate region — derived from your device's time zone (not your precise location) so we can show the correct price for your market.
  • Basic app and diagnostic data — standard technical information needed to operate and troubleshoot the app.

We do not collect payment-card details (checkout happens on Shopify), we do not request precise GPS location, and we do not access your contacts, photos, or other apps.

How we use it

  • To send the notifications you turn on — new arrivals from houses you follow, price drops on pieces you watch, a piece arriving in your size, or a reminder about an item left in your bag.
  • To sync your wishlist between the app and the website.
  • To show prices in the correct currency and tier for your region.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the app.

Who processes your data for us

We share the minimum needed with trusted service providers who act on our behalf: OneSignal (push notifications), Shopify (catalogue and secure checkout), Omnisend (our saved-items and email list), Resend (transactional emails), and Render and related infrastructure (hosting and secure storage of your preferences).

We do not sell your data

We never sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.

Your choices and rights

  • Notifications — turn any alert on or off in the app's "You" tab, or disable them entirely in your phone's settings.
  • Email — leave it blank, or ask us to remove it at any time.
  • Access or deletion — email us and we will provide or delete the data associated with you, subject to legal record-keeping requirements.

Data retention

We keep your preferences for as long as you use the app, and remove them on request or after an extended period of inactivity.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data.

Children

The app is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

International users

We operate from the United Arab Emirates and may process data in other countries where our providers operate. By using the app you consent to this transfer. Where applicable law (such as the GDPR) grants you additional rights, we honour them.
